An air compressed shovel was employed to load the talc on the wagons. A series of air compressors positioned on the outside pumped the air to the single yards to set to work the various equipments (in fact capstans, lamps, perforators and core barrels were endowed with this system).

After loading the material on the anterior bucket this lifted up and, capsizing back emptied its contents into the wagons behind.

Some shovels on tracks were purchased not to have to insert the rails in every yard but, since on the talc the tracked vehicles slipped becoming unstable, their use was scarce.
