The enchanting Journey through the talc of mine Paola
Here we are at the cafeteria. In past times this stretch of gallery conducted to a mining yard and rails tracks can still be seen. In 1980, on account of the requests presented by the miners, it was converted into a canteen (previously the miners consumed a meal, brought by themselves, in the yard).
The vault and the walls of the refectory were painted white to allow a greater brightness and cleaning. From 1981, besides this room, the mining Company made a real canteen service available to the workers: the food cooked outside was brought into the mine thanks to the employment of the little train.
