Before entering the gallery, let us have a look at the structures next to the entrance. The two yellow silos once contained the cement, which mixed with water was used to produce a cementitious mixture called "grout".

Through the pumps that are found below the silos and thanks to an air compressed system, the grout was carried to the gallery where, mixed with gravel, was employed to fill the shafts once mining was over.
