The valley slope was very steep and from that position the chief of the village, the old Alfrost, could hear all the noises of the nature, the rustle of the wind among the trees, the bubble of the water going down toward the valley and the small and great animals that for a long time have been and still are the most faithful friends of the whole village.
Alfrost was very tired he had just ended one of the long and endless days that saw him engaged in his work , the same his family had been carrying out for many generations.
