The entrance to the Mine Gianna is situated at 1212 metres above sea level, therefore at 53 metres from the entrance to Paola's. From the square of the Ecomuseo the gallery is reached through an external path, that crosses the Provincial road and part of the surrounding wood.
It is a wood typical of the mountain plain, with numerous Maples, Lime tree, Birch tree and Laburnum together with some exemplary of red Fir, planted in past times.
