"Hello Mrs Lockwood what do you need today?" asked the Butcher smiling at Elsie and Harold. "Oh, can I have a large chicken please?" replied Mabel. Mabel gave the butcher her ration book and gave Harold the chicken in a bag to hold. "Thank you!" said Mabel. "Cheerio!" laughed the Butcher. Mabel walked out of the butchers and into the Groceries next door. "Good afternoon Lockwood!" said Mrs Kenn the Grocer, "What would you like?" "Can I have some carrots, 2 brocollis and 3 cups of peas." Mabel Smiled at Mrs Kenn and showed her the ration book. "Thankyou!" I mumbled.
