"Mother, I'm home, I've got your bacon." She placed her bag on the kitchen floor and ran on to the chair.
"Now before I forget I want my ration book to put it in my safe, I do know how you lads and lasses make me forget my own head." Elsie sighed and went to her bag. She rummaged through it and gave her mum a very puzzling look. She stuttered and shook her head with dismay.
"You silly girl, come on gifve it,"She stared at her,"you haven't have you, again, you've lost our only will for food."
"I'll go and look for it, please mum it can't have gone far." She slopped over to her Mac and starting sniffling. She knew it was somewhere but all the wrong thoughts came into her mind, what they would do if she didn't find it.
