It was a while before Harold told his mum about his exhilerating experiences that had gone on.
"Oh yeh and I found a ration book,"He squinted, waiting for his mum to scream at him, nothing happened. For a while he thought she hadn't of heard him.
"Well come on was it ours." Elsie got him by the scruff of his collar and demanded him to tell her.
"Leave him alone Elsie, nobody benefits from bullying brothers, now my lad, did it or didn't say our initials on it." The expression on Harolds face made the world turn ,for Mrs Lockwood knew it didn't she decided to etend to the cooker and count the sausages and make Elsie feel guilty.
"You tried lad, know I can't have lads and lasses starving over a lost ration book." She sniffled turning over the last bacon in the larder. Elsie saw her brother stare at her nastily and as she ran outside she spotted the muddy trail and ignored it. No sooner did she run back with a new accumilator.
"We will listen to the wireless and see if its turned in." Her mother lifted her eyebrow as she ran to the wireless.
